Database Performance Testing

Hi,
 i want to test the eprformance of my replication system. My replication is working on different sql server accounts. i should test how much time will my publisher or subscriber take to get an update or an insert or any changes on the database. how can i set such a testing system.
more info about my question:
i insert a new row to the table X in my publishers computer.
the subcribers computer will take this changes by replication.
i want to test how long is the travel of this changes in a table?
can anybody explain me detailed how can i do it in visual studio?
